The Farrar Law Firm is committed to our community. We currently participate in two local charities: The Give the Coat Off Your Back Drive and Jury-Duty Spay and Neuter.The Give the Coat Off Your Back Drive
The Coat Drive was established in 1992 and for the past (18) eighteen years the Farrar Family through the Farrar Law Firm and their wonderful partners and sponsors have collected thousands of coats and blankets during their annual drive to provide coats, blankets and other warm weather articles of clothing to the homeless and less fortunate of our community. Thousands of homeless and at-risk homeless people have been given coats and blankets and perhaps were a little warmer and safer as a result of the generosity of our community. Gregory Farrar stated “We deal with the immediate needs of the homeless during the winter months which allow the agencies to work to solve the underlying causes of homelessness”. The community shows tremendous support and has joined the efforts of the Farrar’s every year; it has become a holiday tradition.
Jury-Duty Spay & Neuter
Through Jury-Duty Spay & Neuter, a 501 (c )(3) non-profit charitable animal welfare organization the Farrar’s have brought the "No Kill Movement" to Pensacola.. Through countless hours of research and attending animal conferences, they quickly realized that the only way to lower the intake and euthanasia numbers at the local shelters was to stop the problem before it began. With this idea and their business background, they implemented Jury-Duty Spay & Neuter and have sustained a steady spay and neuter program in our county. Also, they were able to show our County Commissioners that by establishing a low income program and to spay/neuter prior to adoption that we could save taxpayers money and lower the intake/euthanasia numbers. As of December of 2011, we have done over 4000 surgeries.
